7 Ways to find the cheapest flights on the Internet for the summer of 2024!

Hi Reader

It has been a while since I sent you some updated travel hacks and tips for smart bookings!

One perk of traveling a lot is that you discover little by little some tricks and hacks to find hidden gems and, of course, the lowest flight prices!

Sharing is caring, so here they are :)

7 ways to find the cheapest flights on the internet!

These are my best tips for finding the cheapest flights on the internet, so you can spend more money doing the fun stuff:

  • Avoid traveling on weekends and during peak seasons if possible
  • Do several searches for the same journey in different search engines, and remember to open each one in an incognito window (so it does not understand you are shopping around!)
  • Look for flights that have inconvenient departure times. Less people want to book these flights, so prices may be significantly lower than in decent hours.
  • Also, check the price for two one-way tickets instead of a round trip - sometimes that is cheaper.
  • Search for flight tickest before you decide your holiday dates, if you can and have a flexible schedule! Take time off when flights are cheap :)
  • Top Tips for the Flexible: If price is more important than where you go, head into Skyscanner and choose "everywhere" as your destination (great option for solo travelers!).
    • Open skyscanner.com
    • Choose departure airport
    • Choose "explore everywhere"
    • Then choose "entire month" if you have flexibe travel dates
    • Hit search, and see what comes up!!!!
  • Use a VPN service like my personal favorite ExpressVPN when you do your flight searches, and "relocate" yourself to a country where flight bookings are cheaper! The cheapest places to book from (not necessarily fly from) in 2024 are these:
    • Mexico.
    • Thailand.
    • Malaysia.
    • Singapore.
    • India.
    • Sri Lanka.
    • New Zealand.
    • Hong Kong

Other travel websites that people rave about (I have not tried them myself, but still want to mention them to you), are these:

Hope that was helpful,

Have a wonderful next week, a spectacular summer, and happy travels!

Best,

Hege

Hey Reader, I am back to normal with a few weekly travel glimmers for you to ponder as we are heading for the weekend super-fast! Today I want to talk about the magic of CONTRAST in travel! If you’re like most adventurous travelers, I am guessing you have at same point craved feeling the pulse of a vibrant city and the serenity of untouched nature preferably on the same journey? I know I have! In today’s travel scene, especially traveling women are embracing the beauty of contrasts more than...

What kind of traveler are you? Are you the one who likes to wing it throughout (because that is "real traveling"), or are you the meticulous planner who gets a dangerously high pulse when something (minor) ruins your perfect itinerary? Truth be told, I am kind of the "wing-it"-type myself. But over the years I have learned (sometimes the hard way) that planning can significantly improve my travel experience in all aspects. Things like research transport options is a great example. I did not...

Sometimes life-lessons comes from the most unexpected of places. When I was about to start the last few miles of my (amazing) trek in the Colombian Amazon jungle, we stopped at a Wiva village (the Indigenous people of this region) to be blessed by a shaman. This was a trek I did on my first long solo trip, a six-month journey alone in South America. During this 4 day trek in the Amazon, I had noticed that the indeginous Wiwa tribe had a very close relationship with nature, and connected this...
